With a desire to update dated, non-functional cabinetry and create a space geared towards elegance and buffet-style hosting, this client trusted us with their kitchen renovation. Wish list items of quartz running behind the hood vent, and a wall oven led the design. A small pantry closet previously underutilized was removed, with new cabinetry in its place. A tall wall oven cabinet was then able to fit along the wall which previously housed the pantry. With reconfiguration of cabinetry and elimination of the existing bulkheads, the new design incorporates cleaner lines and simplicity. Cabinetry to the right of the sink was extended further into the eating space to allow additional counter buffet space for numerous hosted events. Additional storage was also gained by extending wall cabinets to the ceiling. 

With a specific aesthetic vision, we were able to accommodate all of our client’s wishes. The desire for high gloss cabinetry was known from the start, and was the leading factor upon which other selections were made. Many quartz countertop options were sifted through in order to find one with the right shade of white as the background, to contrast beautifully against the cabinetry while incorporating the gray cabinet color in its veining. Matte black pulls also provide a visual contrast against the cabinets, and tie in with the appliances. With black appliances, we opted for a panel ready dishwasher so the black apron front sink could stand out as a key feature in the design. The waterfall edge facing the table adds a modern feel to this space.
