This small kitchen was lacking functionality when the client approached us for re-design. It had minimal storage, and the placement of the existing range prohibited the door from opening fully, as it could not clear the sink cabinet’s pulls. The main priorities for the new design were to create a more functional cooking zone, maximize storage, and if possible, find room to fit a dishwasher. By moving the refrigerator to the opposite wall, we were able to shift the range to create a better suited cooking space with counters left and right. Additional storage was gained by installing taller wall cabinets up to the ceiling, and adding cabinets on a previously empty wall. With all the added storage, we were able to accommodate a small dishwasher in the corner.

Every element of the design was curated specifically for this client, from the checkerboard patterned floor tiling, quartz countertops and backsplash, to making sure the cabinet door style would accommodate the decorative pulls with backer plates. The honey bronze hardware pairs beautifully with the stained oak cabinetry, while the white painted hood mantle adds a contrasted accent that ties in with the appliances. 

This renovation took about 6 and a half weeks to complete.
